An inspiration to others, Carol Prentice is best known for her ambition, motivation, and confidence. She is also full of compassion and has a deep desire to help others experience peace in their lives.
On her own, Carol has explored and traveled to 17 different countries around the world and still has goals and dreams of traveling to others. Her love of travel led her to start hosting Yoga Retreats in Costa Rica and other parts of Ontario, Canada. Prior to her extensive travels, Carol completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Brock University and another Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from McMaster University.
Having always been drawn to study the mind, body, spirit connection, Carol’s path has led her to become a certified Yoga Instructor, a certified Personal Trainer and a registered Social Worker. She has been dedicated to her classical Hatha Yoga practice since 2001 and has been teaching Hatha Yoga with devotion since 2006. Kundalini yoga is a very regular part of her personal practice as well. She has explored many styles of yoga including Kripalu, Ashtanga, Power Vinyasa, Anusara and the teachings of Dharma Mittra.
Carol’s greatest focus and passion is being a certified Emotional Freedom Technique Therapist (www.emofree.com) as she is able to witness small miracles in her clients every day as they break through a wide variety of negative emotions and long held patterns in their lives. She discovered that EFT could truly address the root of all negative emotions and self-limiting beliefs more rapidly and effectively then ever thought possible and has used the technique daily ever since. Carol provides a safe space for her clients to heal themsevles and is blessed with the ability of helping her clients to develop insight into their deeper layers of unresolved emotional issues. In order to help as many people as she can with this amazing technique Carol created an educational Emotional Freedom Technique DVD series which was released in December of 2010 (www.eft-dvds.com).
Carol still has an insatiable desire for learning and growing. You will often find her at conferences in Toronto, workshops at Kripalu or reading yet another book on the true nature of reality. Reiki Level Two is also one of her more recent certifications. Carol has also completed the challenging and insightful 10 day Vipassana Meditation Course with 10 hours per day of meditation at the Ontario Vipassana Centre.
She takes a wholehearted approach when guiding students on their path of enlightenment and helping them to experience their connection to the divine. What motivates her the most is the understanding that “Inner Peace leads to World Peace”.
Carol’s eventual goal is not only to raise the level of consciousness on the planet but to help others on their path to wisely and mindfully create the life that they most deeply desire in their hearts and that they deserve.
Another motto she lives by is a quote from Buddha:
“All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become.”
Carol currently resides in the Niagara Region area of beautiful Ontario, Canada.
